Can't Stop Our Flow
A VIRTUAL EXHIBITION FEATURING 11 ARTISTS FROM THE UK, CARIBBEAN AND AFRICA
CasildART Presents CANT STOP OUR FLOW, an art exhibition that celebrates the artistic expression of Black artists and is a response to the Black Lives
Matter protests that have brought international attention to the racial injustices and inequalities that Black people face every day. Yet, in spite of the physical and psychological effects of racism, Black creativity is not stopped or dimmed - it thrives.
The works in this exhibition carry the message that Black is beautiful: that it's expressive, sensitive, and above all, Black experiences and identities are multilayered and complex. They demand that we think critically about an aesthetics of Blackness which stems from the specific political and visual culture of each artist.
#CantStopOurFlow features the work of British artists: Catherine Lucktaylor, Onome Otite, Dionne Cole, Francilla Seaton, Garfield of London and Dada Disu, Nigerian artists: Ouluwole Omofemi, Gbonjubola Obatuyi, SamsonToba and Folrry and, from the Caribbean, Yermine Richardson.
The exhibition previews on 17th September at 6.30pm to 8pm on Zoom If you would like to attend the preview and join in a conversation with the artists, please contact firstname.lastname@example.org
